DNC: If Trump can 'release some' tax returns, he can 'release all'

The Democratic National Committee called on President Trump to release all of his tax returns following a report on an alleged persona income tax return from 2005 that was made public on Tuesday evening.

"If they can release some of the information, they can release all of the information," DNC senior adviser Zac Petkanas said in a statement following the MSNBC report. "The only reason not to release his returns is to hide what's in them such as financial connections with Russian oligarchs and the Kremlin."

The spokesman added that the White House's willingness to release information "when it suits them proves Donald Trump's audit excuse is a sham," though any potential audit would likely be in recent years, not pertaining a return from more than a decade ago.

They have years of returns to cherry pick information that can be played to Trump's advantage, especially when they have scripted responses ready prior to leaking. The real question is how many times the media will fall for it? Art of the deal.
