500,000 protesters in L.A. but only 11% voter turnout?!
What is happening?
There are elections every week this year, somewhere in the country.
If we can't teach Dems to flood the polls now, when can we?

The voter turnout ended up being 11.45%

(90,677 posts)I came from 100 miles away in a convoy of busses -- Santa Barbarans can't vote in Los Angeles.
Aside from that, Samantha has it wrong. Protestors are the ones who are politically engaged, ergo, protestors DO vote. 11% turnoutis indeed disgraceful, but don't blame the protestors.
