U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said unequivocally in an interview that aired Thursday that Russia should never be trusted a far tougher stance than the one taken by her boss, President Trump.
Asked by NBC's Matt Lauer what she thinks Trump should do in response to Russia's cyber attacks meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign, Haley said, Take it seriously. We cannot trust Russia. We should never trust Russia.

(13,869 posts)She was my Governor for 6 years. She is a merciless self-promoter with delusions of grandeur. She wants to present herself as a 'kinder, gentler' and saner version of Trump so she can be in a position to pick up the pieces when he falls apart. She very much sees herself as President one day.
She did to the SC budget everything Trump is now proposing to do to the US budget. Nothing but cops and prisons got her funding approval; social services should be left up to the soup kitchens and churches.
She is slick and very adept at handling herself on TV.
Do not be taken in by this rational, female version of the worst of the GOP.

(13,524 posts)Putin, hoping it would put a little dent in DFT's day, and make it a tad worse than it already probably is!!
I remember reading that it was "smart" for trump to appoint her, because that made room for a seriously wicked SC GOP guy to replace her...bah bughum

(13,869 posts)Was the first statewide office holder in the country to endorse Trump. Lt Gov of SC sure ain't much, but the early loyalty was rewarded.
I think she will be pretty good at the UN, I just don't want to see her as a Senator or Presidential candidate.
