Lessons from the TEA PARTY

Vote in the PRIMARY!

The Tea Party (and the NRA) have been the most successful at primarying other Republicans.
Voting in the primary keeps your politician in line, or replaces a bad egg. (otherwise your bad egg gets replaced by a republican)

Vote in the RECALLS!

2013 after Sandy Hook, CO voters wanted some gun control.
So CO state legislators passed Universal Background Check and 15 round maximum for magazines.
NRA initiated petition for recalling two CO state Senators.
By September 2013 both Angela Giron and John Morse were recalled and replaced by Republicans.

There are more Dems in CO, twice as many Dems in Angela Giron's district.

But, Dems only turn out for Presidents.

That must change.

Consistent turnout and motivation are key. The GOP knows this, and the GOP knows how to motivate their base.
