(41,831 posts)SO are you saying this is fake news? or... is this something that's happening to her. I can't seem to find any news about this on the internet..

(58,648 posts)If more comes out on more mainstream sources, I'd trust it better. It's actually hard to prove "defamation" against a newsperson.
Usually, things like this are not much more than publicity stunts.

(26,366 posts)in this case.
Klayman actually sued Maddow once before (for a client) but lost the case.
See:

Edited to add:
Apparently the picture is from the 2011 lawsuit Klayman filed and lost, not a new lawsuit.
Wounded Bear
(58,648 posts)why give him clicks? He has a history, and it isn't very reality based.

(14,918 posts)and the Clintons numerous time for ridiculous trumped up offenses. Why would you be quoting Freedom Watch here? If you are not familar, read this:

(41,831 posts)I do happen to like Rachael Maddow and would hate to see her sued for something..anyway I was curious if this was even news or not...
Blue_Tires
(55,445 posts)And like all the rest of his suits, this will be tossed out by a judge

(30,613 posts)And she will do a lovely 15-minute intro about his organization's history, no doubt.

(41,831 posts)I would hate to see Rachel screwed by this law suit.

(3,827 posts)Question:
Why would you follow anyone who spreads this junk on there?
yuiyoshida
(41,831 posts)by one of the people on my follow list. There is no way to scan who follows you, and you can only guess why they want to. In any case if they are proven to be right wingers, they get deleted very quickly.

(3,827 posts)During the election I had one GOP follower-- I ended up going off on her for the lies she was spreading-- Her name is Elizabeth Imus. lol
Before that she used to flirt with me all the time in direct messages. haha

(41,831 posts)That's not exactly an App that Twitter has, there is no way to tell, what a person's state of mind is when they follow you. I do go and look at their postings, just to see what is happening and again, if they prove out to be right wingers, love Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, they get removed and blocked.
But there is NO SCREENING process on twitter. You get what you see..and you can choose to follow someone or not. I am glad most of my followers love Japanese music, cause most of them enjoy the posts of videos...especially the new Japanese music I find on my streams.

(3,827 posts)then I know they're not sane. lol

(41,831 posts)never heard about him either way on DU. Freedomwatch rings a bell, but again I didn't know but I know now. If it comes up again, on twitter those who retweet it will be deleted.

(58,724 posts)She was sued in August of that year by Larry Klayman.
The suit was unsuccessful and his client was ordered to pay her legal fees.

(41,831 posts)The way they used that photo on Twitter, seemed like it was taken this morning or today...I was concerned and couldn't believe they would go this far to shut up a progressive on air news personality.

(41,831 posts)I wish Twitter had a screening process, most of the time I get these businesses that want to sell me crap, and I just block and delete them. Most of my followers are people who like my posts but like I said above, if they prove out to be right wingers, I dump them pretty quickly.
