Following rural area news feeds on Facebook

I now live in the San Diego area and read postings from the San Diego and LA news sources and have regulated myself to other big city and National news sources. But recently started reading Facebook postings from smaller (less than 200,000) news outlets. It seems this is where the right is blowing out the left in following these smaller news outlets. They are filled with right of center thinking and anti-liberal/anti-left I would like to ask for DU members to seek these rural news sources out start getting the liberal/left message out. You may need a thick skin because you maybe the only one posting for the left.

My two cents.

I would consider doing this in both of my parents' hometowns as they are dominated by right-wing thinking.

One of the problems we have though is that not being rabid about our views, we don't have quite the energy they have. It sucks to HAVE to spend time in which we personally could be doing other more enjoyable or rewarding things countering the rabid right!
