They were wrong when they said the Merkel visit was "high stakes."

How could a meeting with someone who doesn't stick to anything he says unless it's a lie be high stakes? If it's not a lie... like a promise or something... he changes his mind rapidly. Meetings with such a creature are useless.

The last two days have seen us lose respect worldwide. The Irish Prime Minister tried to shame our President. Angela Merkel obviously was remembering fondly Bush giving her an unwanted massage. It was high stakes because the world saw us cede our moral authority. If it were liars poker we might have won. Our country is literally going to end up with no real friends.
