Not only that, how about we concentrate on 2018? We are notorious for neglecting mid-terms...let's not do it this time.

Apparently Gore, Kerry, and Clinton carried it.

I am thinking it would be good have an agreed upon definition.

Edwards seemed like an amiable champion of the white working class and played presidential politics for several years -but ultimately it seemed a character flaw was revealed. Up to that point he get very far for someone who served one term in the Senate.

But I'd say Sanders and whomever would be the logical choice for 2020. Yes, I voted for Hillary but we can purge the Russian interests who were giving Sanders aid THAT HE DID NOT SEEK OR WANT and we can move on.

I am not, but I loved Mario and I think Chris is a great talent. For some reason Andrew has more of an accent and is much more difficult to understand (for those of us who don't live there) than his father or brother. His NY accent gives him as much, if not more, liability than was Jimmy Carter's southern accent.

that he is difficult for many of us to understand. Trump is easier to understand because he has a limited vocabulary and repeats himself at least three times in any speech (there's a reason for that). And Jimmy Carter got elected despite his accent, but he only lasted one term because he was a brutally honest and humble man.

(I was born in his last year in office--- oddly enough, in the town Andrew Cuomo now calls home)

Truth be told, Cuomo was my first choice for 2016 (I knew he wouldn't get in but in fantasy politics). I like him for 2020, but I also think we need to look beyond the coasts. I don't know if this country can handle 2 NYers in a row (and I'm saying this as a native NYer).

(Any trace of a NY accent was corrected out of me as a child. It only comes out when I've had a few drinks).

2018 and 2020 will usher in a new era of Politicians, Parties.

Oprah Winfrey would probably win hands down if she runs on any ticket and might be the first ind ticket.

It's a new world.

Picture Senators Musk, Bezos, Cuban, Kalanick and Cook.

22. I don't get it. Why would anyone vote

for Oprah Winfrey - a television entertainer - for president? I've never watched her program, but I can't imagine it prepared her in any way for the job of uber-bureaucrat. Please explain.

It would also never occur to me to vote for Musk, Bezos or Cuban. What makes you think they have any aptitude at all for the office of president? Yes, they have enormous name recognition, but in completely different fields. Are you saying that a majority of Americans are dumb enough to vote for someone purely based on name recognition?

There is no way the candidate at the top of the ticket should be from NY, New England, or CA. We need a candidate from a swing state or a red state to bank electoral votes that we otherwise would not get. I can see Gillibrand or a Harris as a VP candidate. Both are young, and can have a shot at the Presidency later, especially if able to run after serving as VP.

He capitulates too easily...

Not presidential. Might make a good senator. And there's still talk that he was tangentially involved in covering up what he could on the Bridgegate fiasco.

Not Cuomo.
