PSA regarding my support for future threads...

if you open your thread with "2020" I probably won't bother. I won't open, read, or rec any threads about the 2020 election. There is too much to be done before then. If you try to sneak one in on me and not mention it's about 2020 until I open it, I will most likely close it at the first mention of that subject, without any Ks or Rs.

I'll be happy to read and support any posts about 2018, even though that is a ways out. We need to get the party organized and working to support the many people who are apparently signing up to run this year and next. Shit, VA has statewide elections THIS YEAR!

So, when it comes to 2020 I am in don't ask, don't tell mode. I'll worry about that once 2018 is in the books.

just an expression of my intent.

All are free to post at will (following board rules, of course). I will screen what I spend my time on. 2020 ain't it, yet.

but I'm also not in a hurry to shitcan many years of experience and learned skills just for a "new blood" purge.

I figure that someone will emerge in the next 2-3 years for 2020, and I'm not ready to throw my hat into any rings right now. I can think of several, if not many, candidates I could support whole heartedly as of now.

Like I said in the OP, lot of work to do immediately, right now, to strengthen the party in the build up to the national. In so many ways, that has been the Dems downfall, focusing too much on the Presidential cycle and not enough on the interim. The WH run is "sexy" but the real work needs to be done locally and regionally.

Just my personal thing. I advise nobody to follow.
