owned by foreign investors. The only "American" benefit will likely be Wall Street investment firms.

I just remember that there was a Spanish firm contracted to build some of our toll roads.

I think our local toll roads and bridges are locally/state controlled. Generally we don't like tolls unless they are specifically directed to building and paying for the article in question.

Can't guarantee that, but we're a blue state.

Infrastructure contracts are widely used to launder large sums....

Example: In Azerbaijan, a well established globally recognized firm quoted a large infrastructure project...
their bid was rejected by the Azerbaijani Govt in favor of a bid for 3x as much ($/km).....
from a construction company associated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.....

The govt officials are well rewarded ... the project gets done... and the front company has a legitimate "contract" to list as their source of income....

which works so long as the participating Govt does not have any pesky regulations & budget oversights

All of their affiliate "supplier" & "sub contractor" CEO's also benefit along the way.....
