(70,407 posts)He will not be able to afford the new Trumpcare but will stick will stick with Trump for the Wall and Miliary. !!!!!!
.............Kenneth Peek is among many Trump supporters in South Georgia coming to terms with the new GOP proposal, called the American Health Care Act, and learning they could be worse off.
Make no mistake, many people here still love Trump. ...........................
Right now, Peek is paying $281 a month for his health policy through Obamacare. Thats $3,372 a year. Hes receiving $11,172 in government tax credits. (His wife, Debra, is on disability.)
ANALYSIS: How Georgians could lose out
Under the proposed new plan, his tax credit would shrink to about $4,000, a drop of $7,172 or 64 percent.
..........................
Peek, for his part, is disappointed, and concerned he might not be able to afford health insurance.
The way they talked it was supposed to be better, Peek said.
But his support for Trump remains. He likes the presidents efforts to tighten-up the nations borders and add muscle to the military.
Still, the way health care reform is going reminds him of something his daddy told him years ago.
Anything the government gets involved in, its going south......................

(7,153 posts)But a lot of employers' insurance companies changed their rules to let kids stay on parents' policies until age 26.
So he has indirectly benefited from ACA.
He is lucky that he apparently hasn't been caught in a vehicle accident. I passed one mangled car yesterday with the FD still on the scene.

(90,795 posts)And then as a excuse for his ignorance, his underlying claim is because he doesn't got to the doctor that he somehow isn't really on Obamacare.
Perfect example of how they can continue to lie to themselves and deny reality in order to sustain their cherished, albeit inaccurate, beliefs.
