1. As I outlined on that other thread you linked, it definitely smelt like a scam.

The new store they set up (having reportedly gotten substantial amounts of support from the local Chicago community to do so) had barely been going six months (August 2015 to March 2016) before it seems the wife turned into a full-time Trump campaigner and steered clear of the shop. No wonder the business was struggling!

One silver lining is that the more money they get from the fundraiser, the less there is to go around other RW causes.
