As if there was some sort of urgency.
Since the Republicans were willing to let the Supreme Court be short-handed for almost a year, and refused to hold any hearing for Merrick Garland, Democrats should make them pay a price.
If that means holding up the nomination of Gorsuch for one year, then so be it. The Democrats should use the nomination as a negotiating tool with the Republicans. They want Gorsuch bad. If the Republicans get him on the Court too quickly, they will have little incentive to get to the bottom of the Trump/Russia connection.
Until there is a full investigation, the Gorsuch nomination should be put on ice. Democrats need to stop being naive.

Republicans have threatened to keep Scalia's old seat open and shrink the SCOTUS out of politics had Hillary won the E.C. and become president.
Democrats MUST give as good as they get. No more "coming to a gun fight with a daisy".
