US forbids any device larger than cellphone on airlines from 13 countries

Anyone wanna make a guess about which 13 countries?? Our "country" list seems to be getting longer by the week. And..."no American carriers" are effected. Of course not. Because drumf would get a big fuck you from our airline/travel lobbyists.

US authorities have secretly required airlines from 13 nations to forbid passengers from carrying any electronic or electrical device larger than a cellphone.

The new edict was distributed in an email described as “confidential” from the US transportation safety administration (TSA) on Monday.

Ummmmm....how the hell does the TSA expect those airlines to TELL their customers ABOUT the new ban if they DON'T announce it????? They expect travelers to just be told as they are about to board???

Guess they wanted the airlines to wait for drumf's people to announce it first with their own little spin but, shit, if it takes effect on the 21st (TOMORROW) they better get a move on...dumb asses.

I know I would rather keep my laptop with me just because I've had luggage go missing before. Some people might not be allowed to check their work laptops because that might be a security risk for their employer. Makes it suck for anyone who needs to travel to US from those 13 countries for work reasons.

Did I miss something? If prohibited devices and affected airlines are secret, how can the traveling public know?

How could cell phones be safer? This makes no sense at all. And how would passengers know if it's secret?
