(86,577 posts)if he isn't already because he's as dirty as they are. And, to tell them that he may want "out" of whatever devil's bargain he agreed to earlier. He knows they are busted and is trying to warn them that they better fire up the cyber-erasers and shredding machines.

(51,129 posts)Trump's Obama accusation tweets were after the WH got served by the FISA judge or Supreme Court. Unless you want to believe either Trump ordered the document preservation on his own or Comey would reveal an investigation into the WH that the WH didn't already know about.

Nunes is lying or he doesn't know what the WH knows. Since he doesn't know who Roger Stone is ..............

(3,363 posts)Why would he be rushing over to warn the WH about surveillance legally picked up during the transition, of which Nunes was a part of?
LonePirate
(13,417 posts)Nunes has been a complete toady for 45 so my initial thought would be that he is releasing this info in order to prop up 45's wiretapping claims. My next thought is who was being surveiled and why. Then I wonder what significant intel/info was acquired and does it help or hurt 45? Lastly, why is Nunes taking this info to the White House? Nunes is just a committee chairman Congressman. If the IC is unattainable of 45, they certainly won't be cowed by a simple Congressman.

(26,060 posts)but as to your second question, nothing Nunes says makes degenerate donnie NOT a liar. He accused PRes Obama of a felony and nunes is saying this was incidental and perfectly legal.

Note: Almost all of the threads on the posts in this thread are an interesting read.
Nunes, a player in the Dump transition, sets up an investigation into Russia to learn about the secret investigations, FINDS out and releases the info in a PUBLIC press release before he tells the White House???
What in the world?. These jokers aren't even worried about breaking the laws out in the open.

(10,016 posts)Guessing something like- nothing to see here. All conversations were completely innocent. It is not unusual for campaign staff to talk to lots of people. We (Trump administration) are positive that Hillary's campaign did it too, and Obama was the worst. Sad. Glad the truth came out now so that we can get back to the business of building that wall, repealing Obamacare, gutting needless regulations, and making America Great Again. Because matters are so urgent with the threat of terrorism close to our soil, the president will spend one less day at Mar a Lago and cut a few rounds of golf and one pep rally. At times like these we all must sacrifice. God Bless America.
Or something like that.

(8,541 posts)Is National Security logs that were queried and shared. You can just enter a name and everything comes up. That would cover the "incidental" and there would be no warrant needed. It would also explain the IC head's testimony on Monday.
We need to see some receipts.
Edit: Nunes just said that this info was taken from multiple unrelated fisa warrants anD then put into intelligence reports.

(309 posts)They made the Trump allegations of Obama wiretapping a part of the Russia investigation. In an effort to legitimize Trump's lies, they tried to extend the wiretapping allegation to surveillance. Now Nunes is bringing information about the supposed discovery of evidence of alleged surveillance of Trump and/or his campaign staff to the White House. He claims this is acceptable because it is not about Russia. But he AND TRUMP were the ones who insisted we add the surveillance/wiretapping allegations to the Russia investigation. So, HOW is it appropriate for Nunes to bring this information to the White House when he is in charge of investigating the alleged surveillance????? How Sway?
Furthermore, for people who showed their hindparts over leaks. He sure is happy to accept leaked information and protect leakers when it benefits him.
Sorry, but I am over here seething right now.

(1,078 posts)...a heads up about the evidence the DoJ has or who the target should avoid talking frankly to kind of a no-no? Like Obstruction of Justice-type no-no? At the very least, Nunes just made the case for the need of an Independent Prosecutor much much stronger. Or Nunes could have added another count to his own indictment.
On Edit: also, did I read/hear that correctly, that all this stuff involves contact between Team Trump and a FISA target from ANOTHER country (not Russia)?
