People close to Woolsey said that he had been excluded in recent weeks from discussions on intelligence matters with Trump and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, the incoming White House national security adviser. They said that Woolsey had grown increasingly uncomfortable lending his name and credibility to the transition team without being consulted. Woolsey was taken aback by this week’s reports that Trump is considering revamping the country’s intelligence framework, said these people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to talk candidly.

So ex-CIA director Woolsey stayed on board after Flynn/Turkey stuff went down in Sept, and only left Trump team in January when Trump gang was leaving him out of loop but now Woolsey is spilling beans on Flynn's activities as foreign agent for Turkey.

As Rachel pointed out, quite interesting that Trump's favorite spin purveyor the Natl Enquirer is now claiming on their cover that Trump has rooted out Flynn as a lone Russian spy in WH .

Before now Natl Enquirer has been blaming Obama for all the leaks about a fake Russian story cooked up by Dems, but now they are shifting gears to spread word to loyal base that Flynn is the bad guy. Right wing is having to implicate Flynn since Obama got vindicated by FBI, NSA, CIA and Repub leaders so that storyline failed and the Russian connections with Trump people is too overwhelming to deny anymore.
