Sally Yates to testify before Senate panel even if she doesnt appear before House committee

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/03/sally-yates-to-testify-before-senate-panel-even-if-she-doesnt-appear-before-house-committee/

Sally Yates, the former acting attorney general, will testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee about Russian interference in the election.

The Obama appointee was blocked from testifying before the House Intelligence Committee after its chairman canceled this week’s hearings, where Yates had been scheduled to appear.

Sen. Mark Warner (R-VA), the committee’s vice chairman, told CNN that Yates would testify before a Senate panel even if she did not appear before the House committee.

except Sen. Warner is a D-VA, not an R-VA.

That, IMO, is the reason that he did all of those back-flips around the White House a few days ago, and WHY he cancelled the hearings. The big "intell" that he discovered on the WH grounds was that HE was being surveilled when he met with Russians while a member of the transition team, and HE is on the bubble for prosecution. That's also why he obfuscates over and over about the content of the data and his movements of late. Nunes is in deep shit and he knows it. He doesn't want to give up the chairmanship because he has control over his own incriminating evidence if he stays on.

If you think that the primary motivation of most people in this situation is "protection", it makes perfect sense. Nunes is protecting HIMSELF.

No other Republican on that list has the clout or smarts to attempt it except maybe Rubio, and I predict he hates Donald by now nearly as much as we all do, so THAT ain't happening...
