The WH gave intel to Devin Nunes.. so Devin Nunes could turn around and pretend to brief the WH on that intel. Stunningly dishonest.

A Ukranian-born millionaire businessman with links to Donald Trump has reportedly died in unexplained circumstances. Alex Oronov, a 69-year-old naturalised American citizen who ran an agricultural business in his native Ukraine, died on 2 March, according to a Facebook post by Ukranian politician Andrii Artemenko.

Mr Oronov is reported to have set up a secret meeting between Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen – to whom he had family ties - and Russian officials where a “peace plan” is said to have been hatched to give Russian President Vladimir Putin control of the Crimea.

Mr Cohen is understood to have an extensive network of personal and business relationships in the Ukranian-American community – and his associates included Mr Oronov, a partner in the ethanol business the lawyer’s brother, Bryan, set up in Ukraine.

2. My opinion has been the intelligence give to Nunes was innocuous. Just a ploy to change news cycle

and to derail the Intelligence Committee.

"Officials said the reports consisted primarily of ambassadors and other foreign officials talking about how they were trying to develop contacts within Mr. Trump's family and inner circle".

In other words, absolutely nothing out of the ordinary.

So Nunes was full of shit and intentionally lying that he saw anything remotely worth noting at this little pressers.

3. I agree but also think it was nore than that

It was foreign diplomats talking about Trump et al. So the transcripts listed their names because they were saying them.

The law is, as I understand it, that if a US citizen is hav NH a conversation with a foreign national that is under surveillance, then the US citizen's name is blacked out or "masked." In this case the transcript wasn't between a US citizen and a foreigner but between two foreigners who said the US citizens name, so it wasn't masked out. What they were trying to so was say "look, the names aren't masked so they must have been monitoring Trump et al., if they were just monitoring the foreign party the names would be masked."

They were trying to obfuscate and confuse the uproar around the false tweets that Obama was wire tapping him.

4. Foreign diplomats are obviously going to talk about Trump. And Nunes then said that

he could surmise the names by the context.

He was talking out of both sides of his mouth and contradicted himself regarding masked/unmasked.

IMO, he's been exposed as a liar doing what Bannon told him to do- mislead the public and create a distraction.

5. Nunes said the names WERE masked, but he could figure out who the masked people were

He said it wasn't Russians, that there was still no evidence of Obama ordering wiretapping and that Trump and officials were inadvertently captured but it was legal surveillance and no Americans were targeted.. His only complaint was that these reports were floating around so leakers could also figure out the identities of the masked names for purpose of leaking.

In other words, he sent media on another wild goose chase over a bunch of malarky only intended to muddy waters, distract and confuse everyone , esp. Trump supporters to believe Trump was not lying.
