They're smearing Dr David Dao due to an insidious and implicit belief that people of color have

to earn fair treatment.

Women are treated this way as well.

Why isn't anyone digging up the past on the guards who assaulted this man or the United employees who ordered it?

Also - hi, it's been a while, DU. I hope you are all well.

If the only tool you have is a hammer, you treat everything as if it were a nail.

I am really bothered by this incident, LP.

Good to see you!!

He has been suspended, but given the huge number of stories showing racial disparity in police responses, I am certain that the story will evolve.

Recommended.

...for when they have to essentially buy back a ticket from an already-seated passenger. When there were no takers for the $800 vouchers, they needed to escalate or switch to straight cash, and then go up until they had the takers they needed. Someone at the executive level limited the options for on-site employees, and did not have higher-level decision makers available 24-7 to give clearance for an unusual circumstance. (Unless they did, and actively decided to use force.)

A POC must comply with authority. no matter what the authority demands. The same people trying to say Dr. Dao had a run-in with authorities in his past. Love Bundy and that act of none compliance.

When a person is killed, beaten, or otherwise treated unfairly by "authorities", just dig up his or her past and see what can be spun into "well, they got what was coming to them!".

It's disgusting.
