Another way to respond to the United incident

I realize that in the short term, people who've already paid for an United flight are stuck. Same for those who fly on routes where United is one of the few (or only) options.

However, United has promoted a credit card. For those with both United and another credit card, one option is to stop using the United card and use something else when charging purchases.
