But I will say: Look at the fever swamp of nazi meme creation. Some asshole in 4chan or in some other pocket of the swamp says something assholish. His asshole brethren take it up, and it bleeds over into a not-quite-but-almost respectable corner of the internet. From there, it's picked up by one of the usual suspects (Instapundit or some other intellectually dishonest fuckhead with an inexplicably elevated position) where it gets picked up by someone at Fox or some other disreputable outlet, and all of a sudden, it's all anyone can talk about. They're trying it in France right now, attempting to conjure up an affair between Macron and his stepdaughter.

I'm content to let Mensch's stories fester out there, and see if something doesn't come of them. I won't encourage them and I won't inhibit them. I'll wait and see.
