It was heavily redacted but it contained bits and pieces of a wild story about a person who told the FBI that he got a menacing phone call from a man with a thick New York accent who threatened his family. Intriguingly, the documents stated that the call came from a New York City phone booth across the street from the Ed Sullivan Theater, where Donald Trump was appearing that day as a guest on David Letterman’s show.

The person who received the call was identified only as “C” for “complainant.” But the FBI left behind several clues that helped us figure out that it was Kristopher Hansen, an attorney who represented a group of private investors in Trump Entertainment Resorts, who received the meancing phone call a day after the casino group filed for bankruptcy.

Caller stated he is a bankruptcy lawyer representing creditors for Donal Trump. He advised he received a threatening phone call this afternoon while at work in New York City where the caller stated, “my name is Carmine I don’t know why youre fucking with Mr Trump but if you keep fucking with Mr Trump, we know where you live and were going to your house for your wife and kids.” Phone number was received from [redacted]. Caller thinks it was Donald Trumps body guard. Wife and children should be home at this time. Wife’s name is [redacted]. Caller spoke with SGT37 and advised him him he will be filing a report with NYPD, but requested additional patrols in the area of his residence. Caller advised he has not notified his wife as of yet but will be doing so soon. SGT37 advised caller we will be checking residence periodically and to call with any new developments."
