'He Just Seemed to Go Crazy': Senior GOP Aides Stunned by Trump's Demented Behavior in Last 24 Hours

Even those in the president's inner circle admit they are worried about his mental state.

Senior Republican aides confided this week that President Donald Trump’s puzzling statements over the last few days have left them confused.

According to Politico, GOP aides on Capitol Hill and at the White House have been unable to explain why Trump unleashed a string of baffling claims over a 24-hour period in interviews with Bloomberg, CBS News and SiriusXM radio.

The president claimed that President Andrew Jackson was very angry about the Civil War and could have prevented it, even though Jackson died 16 years prior. Trump said that he was considering breaking up the banks and establishing a gas tax. He said he would be “honored” to meet with North Korea dictator Kim Jong-un, and then said that “nobody’s safe” from North Korea’s nuclear weapons. '

To top things off, Trump praised the high approval ratings of Philippines strongman Rodrigo Duterte.

to distance themselves from their own complicity and culpability in enabling Trump to become president. I don't see any difference between his courtship of Kim and Duterte and the praise he lavished on Putin early in the campaign. He has always said things that were irrational, offensive, and easily disproven. This was never going to end well.

that looks out at the world and see enemies, victims to bully, longing for love & approval, envy at those who are more liked, more powerful, happier, better looking, richer, somehow better in any way. Yes a dark angry unhappy place.

You have to be rather close to someone for a while to realize that they live in a separate world of their own making and do not perceive actuality because of their delusions about themselves. Once you experience this with someone, it sure is a lot easier to pick out others doing the same thing. They are functional mental cases, well to a point. In Trump's case, he seems to have become progressively more demented and is passed the point of being mentally functional all the time. One of the important things to recognize about incipient dementia is they have good days and bad days. We are now seeing the bad days publicly because his condition has progressed that much. On bad days, Trump no longer has the filters to camouflage the separate reality he maintains internally or creates in his delusional, paranoid bullshit sphere as he speaks.

Oh yeah, and he's just not that intelligent either.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twenty-fifth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution
Section 4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Why is he still in office? It's time to invoke the 25th amendment.

I'm not sure if we can afford to wait until the Dems retake the house in 2018 and put Pelosi as Speaker and then remove Trump and Pence.
