I can't imagine anything more cruel than high risk pools for those with pre-existing conditions, i.e. insurance ghettos. Putting all the sick people in one pool stands the principle of spreading the risk on its head.

(34,069 posts)All major insurance companies had to accept everyone for limited windows each year. They were hard to get into (limited window, limited slots) and very expensive.

I don't expect any different this time.
