If the ACA is repealed, there's a fair chance I might die...

...I'm not going to piss and moan about my problems. We all get older, and we all have shit to deal with. But thanks to the ACA, I've actually been able, these past few years, to afford--barely--to deal with my issues. If this "bill" is as described, I will probably lose my ability to deal with them. I'm facing the distinct possibility of being one of the people who might die prematurely because of the GOP. In other words, I am going to be a "statistic". I suppose we're all statistics, in one way or another, but there is a rather awful fascination in seeing myself becoming one in this context. I'm trying to keep my sense of proportion, and even my sense of humor.
"Why is this happening to me"??? Well--why not me? This does not, of course, preclude fairly frequent, almost psychotic, rages at Republicans. All of them. The level of rage and hate I'm experiencing frightens me. But I guess we're all part of history...just wish I could have avoided this particular chapter...

It is personal stories that will make the difference with moderate Republicans (i.e. not the ones who expected to vote against it last time because it didn't kill enough people - but the who expected to vote against it because it killed too many.)

against this bill. Also, the last draft of the bill appears to delay the implementation until 2020. I think the Republicans have NO IDEA of the shit storm they are facing.

our fellow citizens are doing this to us. Our only hope is that enough republican supporters will be on death row along with us and will kick up such a stink that they reverse themselves.

Hope springs eternal, I guess.

who fought Hillary in the general to make some kind of incoherent point.

There are people like you who may die from their tantrum.

Again I am so sorry and have my fingers crossed that ACA will not be repealed.

I have known her since middle school. Her husband died about 8 years ago. She wasn't healthy at that time. But last year she was diagnosed with cancer. Plus she has several other health problems. We have been helping her out with money and getting her back and forth to doctor appointments. With the caps they have in this bill that pretty much kills any more coverage.

Since the bill also allows large companies to put a lifetime cap could cause a major problem for a lot of people. A neighbor has monthly medicines the insurance tally shows at $4,000. He is close to 40 years old. Has worked for a large company for 15 years and plans on retiring with them when he gets of age. Add the medical expenses he will reach his cap long before he retires.

I, too, am stressed and cranky. And more than a little worried. The GOP effort has nothing to do with making Americans healthier, and everything to do with destroying any legacy of the first AA president. Their hatred for him exceeds any "love" for us, and they are either oblivious of or indifferent to the negative impacts. Should the worst happen, my family understands that the obituary will note the cause of death is "GOP".

Until then, the stress and crankiness are fueling a serious determination, a sentiment shared by quite a few in my neck of the woods. Which might explain why our alleged representative makes it a point to come nowhere near us during his so-called district work session. I've already signed on to help with some local campaigns and next year's midterms. They want nasty? We will deliver.

ggggrrrrrrr........

if that is any help to you. I do not know the situation about the lifetime caps. I have also heard many knowledgeable people say this bill will not pass the Senate. I hope for the sake of all those who would be so very adversely impacted that the Senate stops it.

So sorry to read your post. I hope things improve for you and others who have responded similarly.

Not at you, of course, at them. How many Americans have to die for them to get their stupid tax cut?

We'll do everything we can to make certain it is rejected.

President Obama got passed what he could.. so people like us could get health coverage.

We've been reading about what will happen to all those who will lose their Obamacare if this should ever get passed but, now we're actually hearing from a person.. not a statistic.

Mahalo and the Best of Luck to us all
