Moronic Rioters Interrupt Their Looting And Pillaging Long Enough To Take A SELFIE.

UNBELIEVABLE: They just voted to take health insurance away from millions of poor people, SPECIFICALLY so they could give a TRILLION DOLLAR TAX CUT to a handful of MILLIONAIRES....

And they're so proud of it that they took a SELFIE!?

Have you ever seen a bunch of shitheads throwing a RIOT, and they interrupt their looting long enough to take a f-ing SELFIE for the Police to use to put them all in jail? (See below.) Well, that's what this reminds me of.

Would you mind explaining the reference? Ninsianna May 2017 #10
Not at all. Although it helps if you're familiar with "The Shining", directed by Stanley Kubrick Warren DeMontague May 2017 #11

I think there might be one brownish person in the upper right hand. It's like a Where's Waldo book made by some evil person who decided not to include any Waldos.

to make it look as if there are more of them. And not a single minority.

That's the GOP for you, party of greedy old white men.

maybe it is.

They certainly would love to take the country back to 1921 wouldn't they the Guilded Age before FDR and civil rights.

The resemblance to the creepy photo at the end is uncanny.

Written by Stephen King, of course, and we could get into a long discussion of the differences in artistic interpretation there..

But cutting to the chase, at the end you see a montage of these old photos that were on the wall of the hotel the whole time Jack Nicholson was going nuts, close up and you realize he- Jack Nicholson- is in the photos.

Point is, its a fairly famous creepy-ass photo at the end of a fairly famous creepy-ass movie, and the resemblance to this creepy-ass pence shot is uncanny. At least, that's what I think, and apparently someone else spotted it too.

I haven't seen the movie or read the book. King and my vivid imagination when home alone do not play together well.

They are creepy.

My googling led to an interesting tidbit, the photo is apparently a real one and Jack's face was literally airbrushed into it. A non-digital photoshop.

The site referenced something about two photos being shown and the head seeming to move, is that accurate?

Kubrick was a genius, simply put-- but I havent sat down and re-watched that movie in a long time.

Incredible, visually exquisite like most of the dude's work. And scary. Not "texas chainsaw" scary, like metaphysically scary.

He also made radical departures from the source work, deliberately so. I don't think there was any love lost between the two SKs (and I only now just realized, they have the same initials)

But I would put it as probably one of the top 100 American films of all time, maybe the all time best of the horror genre hands down.
