(12,608 posts)said she did not. Clapper said he did not etiher. Then the Republicans went after her about the Hilary emails. Ted Cruz questioned her for 15 minutes about the emails.lol Then the Republicans went after her making it seem that she is bitter cause Trump fired her and she was disloyal cause she didnt agree with the Muslim ban as the Republicans call it the travel ban. Then they talked about Russia interfering with the the US elections. Then they talked about Flynn and how Trump was told about how he could be compromised or blackmailed. Obama told this to Trump 2 days after the election and so did the DOJ. then Al Franken said that in his opinion Trump did not fire Flynn right away cause that meant he would have had to fire his whole cabinet who also had ties to Russia and Putin. But Trump sugarcoated the whole Flynn matter for that reason. *whew* lol. i will give you more soon.

Wounded Bear
(58,648 posts)but when he turned into a RW shill on Fox, it's like any humor he once had just drained out of him. So yeah, "conservative comedian" tends to be an oxymoron...or maybe just a moron.

(5,954 posts)Aside from taking the piss out of conservatives by calling them 'chickenhawks' whenever he was invited onto panel shows (like when he called Michael Reagan a 'chickenhawk' on live TV), I didn't think he was that great.
And let's not pick on Minnesota for that. After all, California has already elected TWO f-ing ACTORS directly to the Governor's Mansion.

(128,905 posts)although a good actor... IMHO. Arnie tried to use his Maria Shriver marriage to appeal to some demographic while screwing the state.
TrollBuster9090
(5,954 posts)...he was a CRAPPY actor!
Although, his performance at the 2008 GOP Primaries was very convincing, where he claimed to hate government handouts...and then finished up his career pushing government-backed AAG Reverse Mortgages on poor, unsuspecting old folks.
But my original point stands. At least the guy had STUDIED law. The voters didn't just plunk some dumbass ACTOR, who'd never even PLAYED a lawyer, into the Governor's Mansion in one shot. You can count the number of clueless assclowns who STARTED at the top job on four fingers: Ronnie, Jessie, Arnie, and The Donald. I give Franken a pass because, while he had no legislative experience, he is pretty damned smart, works hard, and takes his job seriously.
BumRushDaShow
(128,905 posts)a dumbfuck talk show host with a law degree plopped into the governor's office in Indiana and now a VP.
Franken has been an excellent Senator and in addition to his smarts, his ability to gauge an audience and improvise, has been a perfect asset that allows him weave a perfect narrative, and punch through the bullshit to get right to the point!

(1,349 posts)I've been really impressed with Adam Schiff, and some of the other members of the intelligence committees and Reps. Whitehouse, Klobuchar and several others.
All those attacks on Democrats are proved to be hollow when these talented and intelligent people both on the Congressional side, and in the witness seats open their mouths and prove that they're on the right side of history.
They give me hope and inspiration. Especially when they basically eviscerate the corrupt GOP with a calm, cool, polite reply that destroys their entire argument.
