(18,672 posts)This feels very familiar. Trump didn't fire Comey for incompetence. He is obstructing justice for his own ends. This cannot stand!

(25,242 posts)probably since at least the Repugs obstructed Obama's appointment of a Supreme Court Justice.
They took control of our Judicial Branch then and stole the election - the Presidency, Senate & House in November.
Before the election Trump's team did everything possible to first take out his clown car opponents and then work behind the scenes with Russia and there hackers to take out Hillary.
Trump's transition team then placed all their cronies in positions to protect Trump & the Repugs from any consequences of their actions.
Comey & the FBI were getting too close in exposing Trump and Russian collusion and was one of his last obstacles. He took care of that today.
Trump might have complicated things today with this firing. Calls will come for an independent investigation. There will be intense pressure for this and this ironically might be Trump's undoing.
If that gets stonewalled - I believe that the only way to recover our government back fron this coup - is a peaceful military takeover with them pushing for an independent special prosecutor until all is revealed and plans are made to restore our government with a special election.
