As a dyslexic with divergent thinking, I often have many reasons

for the decisions I make. Rarely do I have just one. Fits with Trump. But they did lie about Rosenstein recommending firing Comey and being responsible for it all. So it doesn't really change anything.

reasons he does anything

1/self preservation
2/benefits him in some way.
3/to make himself look better
4/to change the headlines
5/poor impulse control

It depends on the circumstances. He is not a deep thinker. he settles and acts on his 1st thought and everyone around him cleans up the mess.
