Which makes me wonder if people who shit on journalists all day, referring to them by some childish "greedia" label actually read newspapers or just sit around all day watching cable news. Lots of excellent print journalism over the last few months.

3. Feels to me like they are an arm of the IC

The last time I was this proud of the Post was in the 1970s when they exposed Watergate. And even then, Woodward & Bernstein were tools of the IC and coming up with info that was selectively leaked to them. For decades the Post has felt like a mouthpiece of the current administration to me. But lately, they seem to have grown a pair along with our patriots in the IC who are trying to protect us from enemies both foreign and domestic.

looked really sad or scared or something?

I'm hoping he was just freaked out about being on TV. He didn't look good. He was on Rachel's show.

Not a telegenic presence per se, relies on his work. Now may be afraid that Trumsters (or Russians) may target him in person, now that they know what he looks like.

9. They regularly reinforce my decision to subscribe to the digital edition

Was reading for "free' and frequently erasing web history to read over the limit, but felt it was time to actually support them.

Glad I did. Also support NYT (with a few misgivings here and there) and the Guardian.

They are working very very hard to sort through so much crap to bring us the truth as much as they can ascertain and research. All on very short notice, given the instant demands by the net for stories with substance.
