With regards to the lies being told in regards to the Jared Kushner story.
There seems to be evidence that Jared Kushner contacted Russia about opening up a secret channel of communication. No one would know about it - not even our government? They could work around our intelligence agencies. No big deal. We would not need to know what Trump was talking to the Russians about? Well, kiss my ass !!
Then, Jared reportedly told the Russian Ambassador that they could communicate secretly from the Russian embassy, where the communication would be encrypted. What were they going to talk about, for God's sake?
Now, we are told by Republicans, thru the media, that Jared is in charge of a new "war room"? They will be fighting all the "fake news" stories. It's going to be like the reincarnation of the once-powerful FOX News. Truth and evidence are like a competitive sport. The side that can muster enough support on their side of "fake news" will be able to defeat the team of truth and evidence?
There are many that do not believe in the institutions of this country. They are independent. They believe they can do whatever they want, in the name of greed.
The last thing they desire, at present, is the evidence and the truth.
If there is a recording...?

(60,010 posts)but that was a couple days before this week-long Memorial Day break.
The Republicans said if they get a lot of flack while they are "back home" they will be more pro-active in dealing with the Trump issue.
In other words they plan on skating unless their voters hold their feet IN the fire.

(15,241 posts)It's hard to hold their feet to the fire, or their backsides to the buckshot.
Their only "constituents" are those that give them cold cash - untraceable, untaxable. And these constituents do not need to live in the critter's district, or state, or country. --- I hope you get my grift here ---

(34,661 posts)After last week,we now know Trump has Personal Issues going. There is way to much money tied up in this charade called the Trump Administration, the evidence is,why are they Stone- walling investigative Committees, and the number one person who Kushner needs to fend off is Pence.

(15,241 posts)Unless the theatrics between Bannon and Kushner are more than staging.
Is Pence the worm within the whole ouroborus complex? The worm with another directive? Is this more than nesting russian dolls and involves multiple worms within some dolls? Are their worms within worms?
Sorry, I get easily carried away with my ability to type.
If there is any chance, can I get the T.V. rights to show this charade on the little screen? Will there be any screens when this debacle is over?

Now there is a "war room" and task force, to counter the facts and reality.
The country is about to be deluged with the largest fake PR attack in history. Will our government system hold up under such an attack?

(15,241 posts)Will the contracts, invoices, payments be part of the public record?
Will there be monthly/quarterly/yearly progress reports?
Will the payments to outside contractors be reported to the IRS?
Is the use of the WH for personal purposes allowed?
Aren't declarations of war somewhat restricted to who/why/etc.? (Knowing that the USofA loves to make hegemonic acquisitions into "wars" without substantive backing.)
Is the Department of Defense (War) being apprised of its responsibilities under this new moniker?
Or is this like the War on Drugs. Or the War on Muslims, Or the War on Children, the poor, the sick.
Convenient name - "war". Lots of unintended consequences. Stupid.
