Is this person serious? Sabotage much? Any Ohioans in DU?
Nina does not sound like a DEM friend: Both parties blah blah blah. She does not wish us DEMS well at all.
Of course Breitbart's got an article on her words. They eat up sh*t like that.
I googled: nina turner ohio russia ...and First result was from Breitbart.

(56,829 posts)they get their news from talk radio (Rush Limbaugh and other nationally syndicated shows and probably some local douchebags as well) and from their churches. Most of the small town and small city newspapers have been bought up by RW conglomerates over the past 30-40 years as well. (I believe there was a study a few years ago that showed 13 of the top 15 more syndicated op-ed columnists were RWers, 1 was liberal and one was moderate...)

(94,727 posts)...and I say this as someone who was very disappointed with her when she left the Party for the Bernie or Bust gang. (I had a private lunch with her two years ago when she was an up-and-comer in the ODP). The average voter IS NOT talking about Russia. They probably have an opinion, but they're not watching endless hours of cable news or scouring political blogs for the latest revelations. They're focused on their own economics or family life.

She wants the entire bag of marbles at one time and doesn't realize that you can't take your hand out of the small opening in the bag with a fist full of marbles. You have to release SOME to get ANY out out of the bag.

(7,178 posts)I see your point, but don't think that was exactly where she was coming from..
She is poo-pooh-ing the investigation and using the topic to further denigrate the Democratic party.
After that comment she goes further to say that both parties... blah blah blah.

(68,667 posts)I can't stand her...she never got over losing the election (she lost statewide) and is bitter and angry. She hates Democrats and Ohio...she voted for the slime that is Jill Stein. These people are aligned with the Russians as the picture of Jillie with Putin clearly shows. She wants the Democrats to fail...funny how those who hate Democrats all agree that we should move on from the Russian story...we shouldn't because Trump is a traitor, and it is our duty to expose his treason. As for Turner, she is finished in Ohio.

(4,516 posts)Nina Turner has some kind of agenda going every time she comes on TV. I cannot stand watching her or listening to her.
Ever since the labor issues that she first came on TV for, she has changed to a pundit rather than a politician.
Kahuna7
(2,531 posts)a priority. With a gop congress? Even she knows that would never happen. So her prescription is, support third party because the Dems wouldn't do any different than the gop. Magically, by 2018 third party rule will occur and every thing would be just peachy. That's just nuts.
If she really cared about Flint and jobs, she would be doing every thing in her power to see to it that Dems control congress in 2018.
Demsrule86
(68,667 posts)The reason she says that is because the story is helping Democrats. And Nina left the Party after the primary and hates Democrats...she was in Nebraska breathlessly supporting the Anti-choice candidate Mello and trashing Democrats last month...she is aligned with the Greens and the fringe these days...she doesn't speak for Ohio. She lost a statewide race some time ago and is not well liked...she is bitter and angry these days.

(42,862 posts)I can't take her seriously and I see her words and actions just as a way to get attention. She may as well be jumping up and down shouting "hey everyone! remember me? look at me!" It's a desperate attempt to remain relevant. Any day now, she's probably going to get her on "talk show" on the RT (Russia Today) network.
Apparently there's an actual REASON that her constituents rejected her and that she's now only the FORMER Ohio State-Senator.

(67,782 posts)It was during the bush-Kerry campaign. I was amazed at the number of bush/Cheney billboards and lawn signs and few Kerry/Edwards signs in the southwest corner of the state. As I drove northeast, the bush signs decreased and the Kerry signs increased, finally mostly Kerry signs in the Cleveland area and very few bush signs. Ohio is indeed two separate states.

(888 posts)Nina Turner, was an Ohio state senator, I believe, from college police shooting stop.
The community was attacking the cop on racial grounds, she had a distinctive viewpoint being married and her son being cop.
She started speaking about economic disadvantages and how they interact with police with deadly results
Her issue is and always will be grievance spawned out of the Michael Brown, and Cleveland killing,
She jumped on the Bernie bandwagon after Bernie showed sympathy for what's happening in Ferguson and by extension, economic hardship throughout America.
As the Bernie spokesperson. She kept going back to the economic disparity issues and projecting them nationwide. When Bernie lost the nomination. She refused to endorse Hillary and thus lost her convention speech in Cleveland. Now that the national Democrats rained on her parade, she wants push her issue nationwide.
One problem, the nation is upset about Russian involvement in everything Donald Trump

(35,454 posts)Clear-eyed, level-headed and then something happened. Yes, Michael Brown but I wonder if losing the Sec. of State race also played into it. Her bitterness became her enemy and then she became Stein's VP. Saw her a few months ago and she was just awful about DEms.

Nina Turner turns down offer to be the Green Party's candidate for vice president
Stein's offer to Turner was first reported Sunday night by cleveland.com. Turner said then that she would have a decision before the Green Party opened its convention later this week in Houston. She said Monday that she wanted to have an answer for Stein sooner, rather than later, as the Massachusetts physician had other options.
Later Monday, Stein announced human rights activist Ajamu Baraka as her running mate.

I wonder how all three think about their actions and what it means to everyday Americans.
When Americans by the millions lose their healthcare because Obama care and related regulations away,
when lifetime limits, pre-existing conditions, lack of preventative maintenance all come roaring back.
I wonder what Nina Turner, Susan Sarandon, Cornell West, think about a Hillary vote now

(2,897 posts)Bitter. Irrelevant. Hated by Dems nationwide. What little love she has left on the political scene is due to her endorsement and championing of Senator Sanders. Her political career is dead in the water, as it should be after she lost a statewide race to John Husted. No one in Ohio is voting for Nina Turner.
