CEO of massive Christian-owned craft stores response when asked about maternity leave

Green is an evangelical Christian, and Hobby Lobby famously sued the US government so that it would stop paying for four contraceptives that Green believes cause abortions. He won.

When we asked him whether Hobby Lobby offers parental leave, he was stumped. "I don’t think so," Green said.

He probably thinks all women should be at home with their kids instead of working. Not dogging stay at home moms, I was one for 5 years. But this is another reason I am glad to boycott Hobby Lobby. And this is why we can't leave it up to the corporations to do the right thing.

to give me maternity leave I would just plan on giving birth in the middle of the store and let them and their customers know that I was forced to do so because they did not make it possible for me to give birth anywhere else because I had to be at work no matter what. That would not go over well for them when the media got a hold of that story. Maybe that is what women should do, just give birth in the most obvious place of work if they are not given leave. I think after a little while the rules would be reconsidered.

You can sign up for investment packages that reflect your personal morality (for instance, stocks from all green companies), their various investment packages not only have stocks from the companies that make the contraceptions he objects to but also actual abortifacients.

Of course, the personal morality packages don't pay as well...
