The promised wall between the Trump Organization and the Trump presidency is no moreif it ever existed to begin with. On Tuesday evening, Eric Trump, one of the Trump children supposedly managing the family business while their father manages the nation, went on Fox News to complain about the Democratic Party in an astonishingly vitriolic attack.
To me, theyre not even people," the Trump scion told Sean Hannity about Democrats. "Its so, so sad. Moralitys just gone, morals have flown out the window and we deserve so much better than this as a country."
Striking a self-righteous tone, Trump said of the Democrats, "They try and obstruct a great man; they try and obstruct his family." It is not clear how the Democrats have tried to obstruct the Trump family. Perhaps the reference was to the existence of federal ethics laws.
Perhaps the young mogul was reeling from a report, published earlier that day by Forbes, that alleged that the Trump Organization demanded payment from the Eric Trump Foundation for a cancer fundraiser the charity held on Trump-owned golf courses.

(58,785 posts)natural on the right as discussing the weather, but this? He can't possibly know what a pathetic little empty mind he's displaying.
But I'm guessing maybe he's acting out over this: "On Tuesday, Forbes reported that Eric Trump has diverted more than $1 million donations to his kids-cancer charity to Trump golf courses. These costs were incurred during the Eric Trump Foundations annual golf fundraiser. But according to charity experts, the listed expenses defy any reasonable cost justification for a one-day golf tournament. ... "
I'm going to text our own son and tell him how proud and grateful we are that he's not Eric Trump.

(16,402 posts)Nini above has it right about projection. Eric certainly has inherited his father's gift for that: You see the Democratic Party, theyre imploding," Eric Trump told Hannity. "Theyre imploding. They became obstructionists because they have no message of their own Which is *precisely* true of the GOP, as we've been pointing out for quite some time now.

(19,201 posts)to rearrange his fucked up face so he'd know what it's like to get the crap kicked out of him by a "non-entity". It would certainly broaden his experiences with a Democrat, not to mention his nose.
That's just the kind of guy I am, always giving to those really in need of "adjustment".
Just kidding, Mr. Secret Service Man. I'm a non-violent being now, but there was a time, years ago, when I would have taken Little Lord Trumpelroy to the alley and rearranged his face for him. And I would have thoroughly enjoyed it. Actually, I'm very glad those days are over. No one ever really "wins" a fight, but I came out on top of most of them.

(14,918 posts)"A nonperson is a citizen or a member of a group who lacks, loses, or is forcibly denied social or legal status, especially basic human rights, or who effectively ceases to have a record of their existence within a society (damnatio memoriae), from a point of view of traceability, documentation, or existence. The term also refers to people whose death is unverifiable and about which inquiries result in a "blank wall" of "nobody knows that".
.......
Asserting that someone is a nonperson is implicitly a normative statement; by doing so, it is implied simultaneously that the person referred to is entitled to the rights that any person should have. Who is a person and what every person is entitled to depends on context and social norms.
.......
In Nazi extermination camps, Jewish people and Romani were treated as nonpersons.[1] The purpose of these camps was to systematically dehumanise these unwanted elements, use them where possible, and dispose of them efficiently.[2] "Nonperson" status was required because it removed the moral and social obstacles for committing otherwise objectionable acts of violence, crime, abuse, and murder.".....(more)

(19,201 posts)because this is exactly how RepubliCONS feel about us. I've read on many message boards where reich-wing zealots want to employ concentration camps for us, as well as having an "open season" for our hunting (or "harvesting" as hunters now call it). These are NOT hollow threats, and if Trump's brand of "government" were to continue unabated, I have no doubt it would come to fruition for these crazy bastards.

(22 posts)I have heard this kind of mindset before, both from extreme RW people. Several years ago, an extremely RW co-worker said the same thing about Nancy Pelosi, that "she is not even a person". I never forgot it and it was stated with such hate I think this guy could have killed Pelosi and felt nothing. Another time was when the Iraq war was fairly new and there had been a bad incident involving many civilian deaths. I was told that "who gives a shit, those folks aren't even people". Dangerous thinking.

(561 posts)When ever I see Eric or his brother with these big guns killing animals, it reminds me of what Wes Clark once said:" You like guns, we've got a great place for you....in the military" Of course we will never see that happen. These two golden boys have never "worked" for anyone but their daddy, and even daddy was handed a real estate empire.
I can't remember which one of them said it, but they claimed if it was their sister dealing with on the job harassment, she would just quit. Yes, because jobs just grow on trees, and everyone has a rich daddy. Ivanka is no better, like daddy and her step mother all their products are made overseas. Had a friend who once worked for her, and there was no such thing as paid maternity leave, and you also had to pay for your own health insurance. Yet Ivanka promotes herself as an advocate for working women (providing they only work for their own daddies, like she does, and not when it comes to birth control, paid leave, made in America products or the Paris Climate agreement. She's also a waste of time.
