Wow, yes she actually said that!
You know, I think a lot of these Republicans live in these bubbles where the only people they talk to are other cruel, selfish, shitheads just like they are. So saying something like this just comes right out.
Here it is on video...

OP
"Karen Handel says she doesn't believe in people earning a livable wage" would go well too...

Right. What is the point of creating jobs, if those jobs won't pay a living wage?

(8,961 posts)3. Ha Ha! That's a very good point
They say in advertising that you have to repeat something at least 3 times in a row before people really hear it.
They could run a spot that says... "Before you vote for someone you should know what you are getting.." then play that quote on a loop about 5 times in a row

(2,375 posts)2. I watched the live stream on WSB TV.
The station ran a call-in poll on who won following the debate, and before I shut the stream down Ossoff was leading 73% - 27%.
Right now the race is too close to call, so let's hope that DonnieBoy keeps f*cking up, and that there's a strong GOTV.

Similar rhythm, cadence, and style.
Handel sounds like a moron.

(8,224 posts)6. What is a "good paying job"
if it is not a "livable wage"? Are jobs that pay less than a livable wage "good paying"?
I do not see how wanting businesses to create "good paying jobs" and requiring a "livable minimum wage" are in conflict.
I know conservatives can maintain this cognitive dissonance, and perhaps it is just my age, but I can't.

Who wants a job that's not going to allow them to make ends meet? This doesn't make sense at all.

(8,224 posts)10. And in what universe are such jobs "good paying"?
IMHO a "good paying" job actually pays more than any definition of a "livable wage" I have ever read.

Don't kid yourselves.

mentioned Handel made that comment. But they didn't mentioned everything else that was said in the debate.
