What if.....
Coats and rogers answer all the questions.
High likelihood Trump gets pissed and fires them for disloyalty ( you know how he feels about loyalty)
then Trump can replace them with his own henchmen.

But what if...somehow...their info got leaked into the newspaper, and McCain read the info. into the record.
And everyone heard the info, but not from Coats and Rogers directly.

They now go back to work, and help Mueller, and keep their agencies out of trump's hands, at least for a while longer.

this is gonna make a hell of a book.

and my impression is that he no longer has a single fuck to give. He will not offer legal conclusions, however; he won't say whether he thought Trump attempted to obstruct justice. He's just a witness in this hearing so he will testify to facts and let the prosecutor (Mueller) decide what those facts mean legally. I do expect him to testify truthfully and not hide anything.

In fact books written by ex fbi are admittedly very careful about what info is revealed.

It's difficult to believe there was no collusion, as the parallel nature of which questions they avoided and those they did answer were far too consistent between each of them.

They're trying to take the attention and focus it all on Comeys words tomorrow.
That way it becomes a he said he said .
That way there's more cover for maggot and themselves because today didn't muddle things up.
And I bet they cleared this with Jabba the maggot before this mornings testimony.
See the big discredit against Comey has definitely gone into full gear.

To the senators’ mounting frustration, the intelligence officials repeatedly refused to answer their questions. Those refusals, however, tell us a lot. It appears they couldn’t defend Trump without committing perjury. Nor could they tell the truth without dramatically undermining Trump’s administration. So, in a series of increasingly contentious exchanges, they simply defied the lawmakers tasked with overseeing their agencies.
