He asked about Flynn being investigated, not Trump?!?
Implored what?
He used "term of art" to deny DT was being investigated. Didn't mean his organization was not being investigated.

(4,187 posts)You can sense from his statement that until Trump began demanding inappropriate things from him, he was all for Trump. Even after Trump began behaving inappropriately, his focus was on avoiding open disagreement and making sure, by taking notes and by conferring with other FBI officials, that he himself didn't do or say anything objectionable and wasn't put in an uncomfortable position. The only reason we're hearing any of this today is that he's been fired. If Trump had kept him on, he would have continued to protect Trump from any appearance of impropriety.
Comey clearly did not want want to work under President Hillary Rodham Clinton. He wanted to work under President Donald Trump. Comey is the reason we have President Donald Trump today. Nothing he ever says or does will ever change that.
