There is Nothing Like a Republican
There’s nothing that says “Republican ethics” like watching them debate whether their so-called “healthcare bill” leaves enough people WITHOUT healthcare.
There’s nothing that says “Republican patriotism” like hearing them explain why their pResident having colluded with the Russians isn’t “really a crime”, or offering the “everybody does it” excuse – as if.
There’s nothing that says “Republican honesty” like listening to Jeff Sessions perjure himself – and more than once.
There’s nothing that says “Republican transparency” like knowing they’re crafting legislation in secret, behind closed doors.
There’s nothing that says “Republican responsibility” like hearing them talk about needing “personal security” to protect them from the pissed-off constituents they’re throwing under the bus AND the mentally-ill they’ve voted to give access to weapons.
There’s nothing that says “Republican intellect” like citing the Bible to explain that Noah built the ark when he was six-hundred years old, so lazy people should stop whining about retiring at sixty-five.
There’s nothing that says “Republican adherence to the Constitution” like hearing them argue that Christianity should be taught in our schools, and should have an influence on our laws.
There’s nothing that says “Republican understanding of the needs of the populace” like hearing a congressman who earns $174,000 per annum complaining that he needs a housing allowance in order to scrape by on his meagre salary.
There’s nothing that says “Republican compassion” like their lectures on how four-year-old children with cancer brought their illness upon themselves because of their unhealthy lifestyle choices.
There’s nothing that says “Republican values” like supporting a “pResident” who openly brags about grabbing pussies, Tweets inane “covfefe” messages, has yet to have a single day free of scandal since his inauguration, has lowered our country’s standing in the global community in less than six months in office, has insulted our allies, is a proven serial liar, has personally pocketed money collected as charitable donations to his “foundation”, has scammed millions of dollars from hard-working Americans via his fake university, has been involved in countless lawsuits for failure to pay those who provided materials and labour while working for him, and who HANDED OVER highly classified information to the Russians he is under investigation for colluding with in order to be elected.
There’s nothing that says “Republican” that ISN’T contrary to everything we as a nation stand for – nothing.
