Let the Caving begin ... the Republican Three Ring Circus Act

To get tRumpcare passed through the House, the Republicans needed to do a precarious balancing act to get the 218 vote threshold. Now, we're witnessing the second ring of that circus ... the Senate. The Senate, requiring 50 votes (plus the VP tie-breaker) to pass, seems to be in a position where they won't be able to make deals and compromise, people will need to cave to get this passed.

But the real sideshow will be if they can get this passed out of the Senate and it's a mighty big if ... the third ring of their circus will be going to conference and creating a single bill that can pass both the House and the Senate. I just can't see the bill being punitive enough for the Freedom Caucus to support it and get the rest of the House and Senate to go along. Or is their hatred of all things Obama so much, that they will actually be able to hold their collective noses and pass a bill that less than 20% of America approves of?

Let The Caving Begin! Senate GOP Health Care Surrender Watch

The dynamics for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to corral 50 out of his 52 Republican senators into supporting his health care bill don’t get much easier, now that he’s delayed a vote on it for at least a week for another round of tweaks. The only difference in the competing demands McConnell is facing from his conference between the days before he announced he was delaying the vote and the days after is that they’re going more public with their negotiating requests.

If Senate Republicans pass their bill, the Better Care Reconciliation Act, something will have to give. And for something to give, someone is likely going to cave.

(The article lists who is asking for what ... so that you can monitor who caves and on which of their own demands)
