A chilling National Rifle Association ad gaining traction online appears to be 'an open call to violence'

A National Rifle Association ad that has gained traction on social media this month urges Americans to join "freedom's safest place" as protesters and members of the "resistance" movement who oppose Donald Trump's presidency "smash windows, burn cars," and "terrorize the law-abiding."

Loesch describes anti-Trump protests as "madness" and terror that "shut down interstates and airports" and warrant a heavy-handed police response.

on the same video and was afraid I'd be stepping on someone else's post. Sorry, it wasn't intentional.

I certainly agree that this video is absolutely shameless. Dana Loesch should hang her head for lending her voice and face to a inflammatory propaganda piece. The NRA? They seem to be beyond shame. Personally, I think they need to be put out of business. At the very least, they should feel a financial squeeze for going wa-a-ay over the line. There's no place for this BS, which is just a hair's breadth from suggesting anyone who dissents or criticizes Our Dear Leader should be made to pay with a 'patriot's' bullet. Wasn't the Scalise/Republican debacle enough? Apparently not.

Make no mistake, this video is a threat. I do not take kindly to threats. Neither should anyone else.

As a gun owner myself, I would call on other sane, responsible gun owners to call this screed out, tell the NRA and Loesch herself that this does not represent us or the majority of the electorate, all of whom support sensible gun control and reject hate and fear-mongering.

I can't adequately describe how angry this made me. And it takes a lot to get me going. But this did it. Bigly.
