(58,785 posts)new department of anti-VA complaints -- a means to organize, amplify, and weaponize people's complaints for the purpose of destroying the VA. The VA's specifically protects employees from reprisals for supplying information, true or untrue, to the press and anti-VA groups.
This law will weaponize complaints from outside into a power that can destroy honest science education.

Let's create a commission on witches and start burning them. That will fix everything.
Like the florida schools have money and time to waste on paying and appointing some moron to cater to the fundies. Don't they already have tons of fundie charter schools they can use?
Wonder if the ivy league universitites will lower their florida quotas for a few years....

(And just imagine the funds they will save closing down the library from all the books banned...including the Bible.)

This is merely complaining about what's being taught. True science doesn't care what people think.
