My Sunday paper headline today

The other DUI
Drugged driving overtakes drunken driving when fatals are involved

Article cites marijuana most often the drug involved. This is according to a study updated in April by The Governors Highway Safety Association and the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility.

In 2015 , the most recent year for which data is available, 57 percent of fatally injured drivers were drug tested. 37.3 tested positive for alcohol, 43 percent had drugs in their system, marijuana topping the list at 35.6 percent.

Something to watch. Be careful out there!

How did they break down the cause of the accident was due to being stoned simply by a test to see if it was in the body when it will come up on a test a month later?

recreational or prescription. In my experience with regular smokers, they drive slowly, cautiously, and with utmost paranoia, but some casual smokers find it can affect concentration and make them easily distracted.

THC does collect in fat cells and is detectable for up to a month with the current urine test protocol. If someone takes a puff or two at a party it can still show up three weeks later when they are cold-sober.

I believe they are trying to develop a "breathalizer" type road test to test for immediate/current THC impairment.
