This Voter Suppression Attempt By Kobach - Was This Something That Came Up Because Of....

the circumstances of the Nov election or was this planned well in advance?

I'm of the opinion that what we witnessed in Nov was a coup d'etat. I posted my opinion here before and as every day of the Trump presidency passes - I become more firm in my belief. It was complete with collusion with the Russians and not only the Trump campaign - but the whole of the Repug Party. I believe that the plan was put into place a long time ago and that denying President Obama a SCOTUS appointment was part of the plan.

I believe that they knew that Trump was going to win. I believe that there was not only voter suppression but tampering with the voting machines in order to assure a clean sweep by the Repugs. The reason that the DHS doesn't want to acknowledge that the voting machines were tampered with in any way - if it proved out to be true - opens up a can of worms that nobody in D.C. is prepared to deal with. As such - it's best that - we'd rather not know because it provides proof of a coup d'etat.

There is now a systematic dismantling of the U.S. government by Trump and the Repugs. Part of the plan is to discredit the press so that a great portion of the American People believe that the press is the bad guy - so that when the Mueller investigation reaches conclusions that there was collusion by Trump's team and quite possibly the Repugs - that the press will not be believed.

This Kobach Election commission thingy is part of the plan to further control the outcome of future elections and assure the Repugs a continual power block of the Dems.

This is why I think that the Repugs (House and Senate) aren't afraid to do the damage to health care, tax reform, environment, foreign relations, etc - because they know that their seats will be protected going forward.

I don't believe for one moment that this election commission came up just because Trump didn't win the popular vote and feels that he was cheated. I think that this commission was part of the plan.

With respect to Trump's tweets and his WH staff and the Repugs in general - always circling the wagons for him - again - part of the plan as they feel secure in their positions.

With respect to his cabinet appointments - and that one cabinet meeting where they went around the table and professed their undying devotion to Trump - seems to me that most of them are in this coup as well.

Trump tried to discredit the intelligence community. I don't think he's been very successful at that attempt. I believe our intelligence community might be the only thing we on the other side can rely on to turn this coup around. Though I have to say there are some suspicious characters in that community that might be doing double duty here.

Now is Trump a demented man that doesn't know what he is doing or is he an evil genius. If he is a sick, demented man, a useful tool - who is controlling his puppet strings? Who is pushing the buttons?

Just my humble opinion. This illusion of disarray - if you look at it with a different eye - looks very well planned out and choreographed. Just saying!!!!!

Democrats social security numbers and any other lies he can think. True the vote claimed voter fraud when two people was found with the same name. WHAT? Lots of names are duplicated. In Florida if a wife does not have a vehicle in their name then the state wanted to purge them from the registration to vote. I feel sure this was based on the fact they were Democrats. I have an unusual name, there is more than one in the US. This does not mean voter fraud.

that Trump or even the GOP is that well organized but I think the money people have, are and will do whatever they can to sustain a Republican majority. The Mercers, the Koch brothers et al have been pushing their John Birch Society mentality into the mainstream.

And succeeding.

The libertarian/fascist fringe has infected the whole party, held dissenters off with threats and the promise of political extinction. Money is the club and these people are more than happy to beat any pushback to a bloody pulp. Therefore, we have Republicans goose-stepping to Trumpy's every bizarre position and behavior, refusing to address possible vote tampering or Russian involvement. Even the latest adolescent tweet against CNN is being defended. The question keeps rolling out: Have they no shame?

Obviously not.

Is this because they know that the game is rigged in their favor? Possibly. Or perhaps Charles Pierce is correct in stating that Republicans have all been infected by eating monkey brains over the last 3 decades. Condition critical; prognosis deadly.

As far as the Trumpster's off-the-wall behavior, I think Rachael Maddow has a solid theory: that Trump is not simply distracting but purposely disrupting because he has no regard for the country or its people, let alone the Office of the Presidency. He cares only for himself, the way he's perceived. Any pause in adulation is answered with vicious attacks.

In other words? He doesn't care. Because he's POTUS; you're not.

Kobach's Crosscheck is now being used by 30 states. And that is only ONE way they undermined the election, and 2004, and 2000.
