Trump Knew.

On June 9, Manafort was w/ Trump at the Four Seasons, across the street from Trump Tower. He met with a Russian before or after. Trump knew.

Someone turns up that you never met before and someone else tells you to make that stranger the head of your presidential campaign. And you do it. You obviously know who is sending you this person. You obviously know that there will be a quid pro quo for the loan of this fixer person.

And Manafort's career before that was entirely in the service of Putin's interests.

Of course Trump(R) knew.

ETA: Eyeball kid correctly says that Manafort was involved in GOP elections before, but in recent years Manafort has been concentrating on Ukraine, working for the corrupt former president of Ukraine who was a minion of Putin.

For which he was paid 12.7 million dollars out of a secret slush fund by the corrupt Ukraine president who was a minion of Putin.
