Don Jr. says that nothing of consequence came of the meeting. Are we to take his word on that? Come on - This whole administration from the primaries on to the run-up of the Nov election and now as president - continually gets caught up in lies. Why should we believe him/them now?
He originally took the meeting looking for dirt on Hillary. In a round about way he's kind of admitting that if something of consequence did come out of this meeting - they would have used it.

(49,062 posts)The terms were to lift sanctions in return for Russian meddling. That's collusion. At the right time, the Russians would drop the ban on adoptions of Russian orphans as the cover for lifting the sanctions.
(Note: This is only informed speculation.)
Data transfers came shortly after. It's not as if mini-tRump walked in with a USB stick with 60 million voter profiles on it. Possible, but unlikely.
