There is just so much accumulated "smoke", you know that there just HAS to be some fire/truth to the allegations about collusion during the campaign. Plus, we know that the GOP has been pretty openly expressing fondness for Putin in recent years, so it's not terribly surprising that there would be some behind-the-scenes stuff going on. I think (or hope) we will soon be learning the extent to which Putin and/or his subordinates are directly or individually involved with Trump and the GOP.

They didn't forget the meetings. They purposely left them off the forms, figuring that somebody would have to dig deep to find them. If somebody did find out about them, they would (and did) pass it off as "forgot because it was so nothing."

Those meetings are a major part of the nucleus of their business interests. Everything else is theater for the masses.

1 Nixon - Viet peace agree sapped.

2 Reagan - Iran hostage delay.
~~~~~~ - Contra illegal weapons.
3 Bush/Cheney - Illegal war on false premises.
4 tr-dump - illegal meddling/collusion with Russian spies, agents, and operatives in American elections, administrative, diplomatic, political, economic, and financial policies.
All above treasonous actions remain un-punished in any way, shape, or form. Then we are astounded and amazed that they continue to blatantly commit treason again and again and again.
They suffer no repercussions for their act of treason and America is irreparably damaged. But we do little to nothing to stop them. Like we think common sense and common decency will prevail - get real.
They need to be slammed and punish with all of their assets clawed back and deposited into government general fund depository accounts.
They can not get off scot-free and walk away and allowed to hatch new schemes of treason against America down the road.
America is only so resilient then it will crash and burn in a cesspool of total failure and its eventual demise.
A month before Donald Trump clinched the Republican nomination, one of his closest allies in Congress — House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy — made a politically explosive assertion in a private conversation on Capitol Hill with his fellow GOP leaders: that Trump could be the beneficiary of payments from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“There’s two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump,” McCarthy (R-Calif.) said, according to a recording of the June 15, 2016, exchange, which was listened to and verified by The Washington Post. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher is a Californian Republican known in Congress as a fervent defender of Putin and Russia.
House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) immediately interjected, stopping the conversation from further exploring McCarthy’s assertion, and swore the Republicans present to secrecy.
Now.. you say, "Steve.. what do I say to the tax man when he comes to my door and says, 'You.. have never paid taxes'?" Two simple words. Two simple words in the English language: "I forgot!" How many times do we let ourselves get into terrible situations because we don't say "I forgot"? Let's say you're on trial for armed robbery. You say to the judge, "I forgot armed robbery was illegal." Let's suppose he says back to you, "You have committed a foul crime. you have stolen hundreds and thousands of dollars from people at random, and you say, 'I forgot'?" Two simple words: Excuuuuuse me!!" "
