Do you think Donald Trump will propose Cyrillic become the official alphabet of the United States?

On edit- Russian is the language. Cyrillic is the alphabet for purists.

Cyrillic is not a language, it's an alphabet used by several different languages. n/t Binkie The Clown Jul 2017 #2

US adopt the Russian language and Cyrillic alphabet? No, because he would also have to learn it, and he knows that would be impossible for him.

It is used to write several languages, including Russian. Here's the Mongolian version of Cyrillic, for example.

Here's a generic pronunciation guide that works with most languages written in Cyrillic:

Here's the Russian Cyrillic alphabet, with both printed and script letters. Sometimes they're quite different, as you'll see:

I don't remember much of anything except the Cyrillic alphabet and a few words and phrases.

I can still rattle off the alphabet from memory and can kind of phonetically read some Russian words, if they don't have too many hard or soft signs in them (called ъ = tvyordi znak = твёрдый знак and Ь = myagki znak = мягкий знак, respectively).

Otherwise I am useless in Russian.

BTW, a correction to your post. You have the щ as 'shsh'. That should be 'shch', letter is pronounced 'shcha' for those interested.
