I am having a discussion with someone and I want to get my facts straight...
He wanted to know why Lynch allowed her to stay in the US when one is allowed to stay only under "Extraordinary Circumstances." Apparently, he said, the State Department lost track of her.
He also wanted to know how she was allowed to sit in at a Congressional Hearing behind Obama's ambassador.
I did a quick search and cannot find any links that will take me to any of the information. I realize this is all Fox drivel but I need to be able to come back to him with credible info.
Any help or links would be much appreciated!!!
Thank you!!!

(70,501 posts)It is being pushed by Fox, Rush, and other right wing nuts.
The meeting was part of a deal in that
Russia would hack computers, feed doctored information to targeted people,
and rig the elections and in return the Trump administration would drop the
case against Natalia Veselnitskaya's client Prevezon Holdings, that laundered
Russia mob money by buying NYC real estate.

Tell your friend to google Prevezon Holdings settlement .... Jeff Sessions and the DoJ settled the deal last May.

(70,501 posts)..... had been allowed to be "in country" before because of her
legal work for the Russian money laundering scheme that bought
upscale NYC real estate.
Fun Fact name two families that sell upscale NYC real estate?

(60,010 posts)The lawyer Don Jr. met with was representing the defendants in that Prevezon case, where there would have been a huge fine, but the day before he was to testify for the good guys, a witness fell "accidenlty"
out of a 4 story building. Not quite dead all the way, turns out.
Preet Bahra was prosecuting that case, has worked for years to put it all together, then Trump fired him, and guess what?
The case was settled here recently--I want to say this May-- for pennies on the dollar

(1,473 posts)Lynch gave her the first visa, not the second. Note that the first visa is a parole, the second is a b1/b2 issued by state.
Show him the part in the Trump email where the meeting could not be right away because they were waiting for her to land in NYC.
and give him this DHS press release. She was on a b1/b2
