So Don just tweeted this.....

TRUMP: Most politicians would have gone to a meeting like the one Don jr attended in order to get info on an opponent. That's politics!

He is a businessman and a very bad one at that. A politician at least has some inkling of what is going on in the political arena. trump has absolutely no clue.

This says a lot about how poorly his legal counsel is able to frame any defense.

that he was going to be giving a speech with damaging information about Hillary Clinton. So at the very, very least.. Trump not only knew about the meeting before it took place, but he condoned and encouraged it and was very eager to benefit from it. In fact, he was counting and depending on it, hence his same-day announcement. However, I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out that he actually participated in the meeting himself, whether by person, phone, or otherwise.

That's what Manafort was doing with his phone. Secret Service already disputed that they vetted the meeting space, so Rump Sr. wasn't there in person. But he was listening in.

It was always obvious that some "presidential" tweets were written by others, but in the last week or so I'm not sure that Trump's written any of "his" tweets. They seem to be punctuated and abbreviated differently than before.

20. Trump Was in the Room

Jul 2017

I will give credit where credit due, so, my belief that Donald Trump was in the room came from Keith Olbermann. Olbermann pointed out that if Trump said that most politicians would have taken the meeting that likely means he was in the meeting. I agree with Olbermann. I think the main reason Trump's supporters have been saying most politicians would have taken the meeting is that they either thought or knew that it would eventually come out that Trump attended the meeting. That may also be why FOX News all of a sudden started saying that even if collusion could be proven, collusion is not illegal. I think the right already knows that the Trump campaign was working with the Russian government in order to either swing the election, or make it hard for Hillary Clinton govern when she did become President.
