8th man at Russian meeting, Ike Kaveladze, has an interesting statement via his lawyer:

Kaveladze “was asked to attend the meeting purely to … make sure it happened,” said Balber, Kaveladze's lawyer . “He literally had no idea what the meeting was about until he showed up right before.”

From the link in the OP:
"Kaveladze was asked to attend the meeting at Trump Tower by Aras Agalarov, the son of a billionaire Azerbaijani real estate developer who once planned to build a hotel in Moscow with Donald Trump, according to his Kaveladze’s lawyer, Scott Balber."

makes perfect sense. This rich, busy man gets a phone call and is told to show up at a meeting and never asks what the meeting is about or why he needs to be there. Seriously? That's the best lie his lawyer can come up with?
